After Films, Naseer Moves To Cricket Now

After being the narrator of the TV show Nazar Ya Nazariya in 2013, Naseeruddin Shah will return to television in the second half of the year. The actor will be anchoring a show, based on cricket, for a newly-launched TV general entertainment channel.
From 19th century colonial India to Eden Gardens, Naseer will take the audience through cricket’s fascinating history with India. A passionate cricket lover since he was a child, the actor will be discussing various matches and players that have helped the sport grow.
“Naseer signed the show late last year. Hell work on it from August after he wraps up his theatre commitments,” says a source close to the production team.
Naseer has previously been a part of TV shows, Mirza Ghalib and Bharat Ek Khoj.
